I’m not going to lie. Taking time off from running is mentally difficult for me. My right leg and knee is out. I bought a knee brace and my leg is still the same so I’ve come to the conclusion to take a total week off. I have to be well for the race.
Now it’s time to find something to distract my mind. Yoga is one. Gotta find a recovery class. Then I have to focus on my body and diet. I have to keep lean while taking time off. Ugh.
I also have to take time ice my leg, take Advil, and keep hydrating. I also have to slow down! I hope none of you ever to experience injury like mine (I’ll be so jealous!). Just please do me a favor and listen to your body and have a good long run! Happy running!
