
Recently crowned Queen Elsa running through Walt Disney World
Whew! I didn’t think the Princess Half-Marathon was going to be THAT tough. I never knew how slanted and steep those exit ramps and overpasses were at Walt Disney World. Those slants, and bobbing and weaving through fellow princesses, and stopping and going did a number on my left leg. I was fine for the first nine miles though. Had to run/walk the last two. Ugh. It sucks because lately I’ve been running so well.
After a massage the day after and two yoga classes later, I’m good to go for the next race… The Gate River Run 15K. I am so nervous about this one. I had to modify my last training calendar. My left leg needs rest, and I used my last 5K to calculate a new pace. We’ll see how it goes! Wish me luck!
