My legs felt so heavy while I was running yesterday, so I started thinking while I ran… Why do I feel like this? Then it came to me. I lost my focus. Lately, I’ve been so determined on running faster, on getting that PR, and on winning that online running trophy that I’ve run my legs ragged. I need to go back to what I was before: running to make me happy. I don’t have to be in the top 20% when I finish the race, especially when I know that I’ll pay for it the next day. I’ve got to go back to “Happy Running.” THAT is my goal, and if I get a PR while I run it should be counted as a plus!
I hope that you don’t lose focus like I did. Remember why you’re doing what you do. Smile. Keep it up, and happy running!
