I had a tough run yesterday morning and it wasn’t because of the heat. There comes a time every 28 days or so when Mother Nature delivers a week of fatigue. During this time, it takes so much effort to complete any normal task, not to mention RUN. During this time it’s easy to say, “I’m not going to lose my speed or pace of I skip this run,” BUT you should try your best to get out there. Why? Once you get comfy telling yourself that skipping is okay, you’ll do it more often. I’m not saying not to listen to your body (this should be a priority), but if you know that fatigue is all that’s stopping you… Go RUN. Shoot, go for a slower pace. That will help out the mental battle.
Don’t get discouraged if your awesome pace isn’t what it should be. Instead, be proud that you won the mental battle. You are a strong lady!
Well don, you still did it, despite… {cue irrational male uncomfortable awkward silence/fidgeting}
Lol! You forgot the crickets chirping!
… didn’t want to use up all my awkwardness in one go! I’m sure there’ll be plenty chances for me to release the crickets in the future! 😉
