Hey all! I hope I’m finding you well.
I decided to take an “off-season break,” so I’m adjusting my training for the Marine Corps Half. I noticed that since I’ve trimmed down the miles, I’ve been losing my mental strength; it was easy to skip a run. For those who know me, that behavior is just not me. I also noticed that during this “off-season break” I wasn’t as happy. I think it’s a perfect time to start training again. Don’t you think?
It’s sweltering out here in Florida so I really need to keep to these paces below. No more 7’s or 8’s for a while. If you see me post a run on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram below a 9-minute-mile on Easy or Long Run days, feel free to politely remind me to SLOW the EFF DOWN. Thanks for keeping me accountable!

… about 3-4 years give or take. I’ll not lie, Half’s are not my forte, but I got as far as 1:55 last year. I just blow up on the last 2 miles 😥
