Running Log 9/22 – Week 1 DONE

This week was weird.  I had to move things around because…  life.  But it was a good life: daddy’s birthday, kayaking and fishing with my hubby and my babies, spending time with family….  You know, the good stuff.

Riley holding a red fish at Guano Lake. Reesie took a break from kayaking to check the fish out.

The two milers were done at an easy pace, but the first long run of training was WAY TOO FAST and that was my fault.  I need to learn to RUN SLOW so I won’t injure myself.

I had an issue my gear for my feet.  My Brooks trail shoes are too stiff for my liking.  Are trail shoes supposed to be stiff?  They don’t really hug my feet like my other pairs from Brooks and my feet slide all over the place.  I’m also in the hunt for the perfect socks because I think my socks are some of the problem.  Maybe if I can find socks with a lot of cushion, then there will be less room for my feet to slide?  I don’t know.  What do you guys run in?

Here’s Week 2’s Schedule, slowly building up the mileage!

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday Total
Monday, September 23, 2019 Rest 2 miles 2 miles 2 miles Rest 10 miles 2 miles 18 miles
