When I started training, I read that carbo-loading the NIGHT BEFORE your race is ill advised because the “load” will weigh you down. Instead, they said to up your intake, bit by bit, days before the race. I started last Friday. I’m adding more protein as I eat more, and I’m eating fruits and veggies from all colors! I think this is the healthiest I’ve ever eaten in my life! HAHAHAHA!
Today is also the last day that I can run before the race, so I ran an easy two-miles, but I was SO TEMPTED to do more. I came *this* close, but then I remembered that you shouldn’t over train. I think my body will thank me for it!
Are you running on Thanksgiving morning? No? Get out there! Earn that dinner! Happy running!
